As the ride edges closer and the riders begin to feel the reality of the challenge set in, help is at hand in the form of Terry and Rose Jones, who will be putting the riders though their paces to ensure they can and will perform on the day!

A force for fitness: Rose Jones and Terry Jones

Terry Jones has over 20 years experience as a 3rd Dan Shotokan Martial Arts instructor and was a regular member of the Welsh squad. He has also had over 18 years experience in Triathlon and Multisport Events and has represented Great Britain at both the World Long Course Triathlon Championships and the World Aquathlon Championships.

He has worked professionally in one of Europes largest Sporting Complex as a bike mechanic, a bike guide and a coach, working with many Elite International athletes. He has completed Five Ironman races and many other Long Distance Triathlons.

Terry is a British Triathlon Level 2 Coach, a Welsh Mountain bike Leader Level 2 and a Qualified Bike Mechanic (City & Guilds)

Here’s a bit about Rose…

Rose Jones has over 25 years experience in teaching and coaching swimming, aqua fit, triathlon and athletics, at all levels. She has represented Great Britain internationally at Olympic and Long Distance Triathlon World Championships. Rose has been a National Age Group Middle Distance Triathlon Champion and also National Age Group Aquathlon Champion. Rose has completed two Ironman races and many other long distance triathlon races.

Rose is a qualified ASA Swim Coach Level 3, a British Triathlon Coach Level 2,  a Welsh Athletics Coach Level 1, an ASA Qualified Aqua Fit teacher. She is also qualified Sports Therapist and a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and is qualified as a Health and Nutrition Community Advisor Level 5.
