24 hours to go…
With just over 24 hours to go until the ride begins, over £14,000 has been raised in aid of Music for All and the British Heart Foundation. However, with the long-range weather forecast painting a bleak picture (it’s going to pour down) the “Three Men on a Bike” team need your continued support.
Generous industry support is coming from JHS, Strings & Things, Peavey, Sound Technology, Yamaha, Future Publishing, Anthem Publishing, MI Pro and PMT. Crucially, a vital sponsorship deal with Udderly Smooth has just been signed, securing generous supplies of “under-carriage” lubrication for the duration of the event.
In a further development, Simon and Terry from PMT are now back in the saddle after a short-but-intensive bout of therapy following a recent – and very nearly tragic – pothole incident. Check out their progress while training here.
The riders will complete their epic journey at Oasis Academy, Shirley Park, Croydon (http://www.oasisacademyshirleypark.org/) where some of the Music for All proceeds will be presented to the pupils, enabling them to buy much needed new musical equipment. After the presentation event at the school, the riders will head to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford for a photoshoot and some well-earned alcohol.
